Weird n' Wild Creatures Wiki

Driven by computer chips, cyborgs are a combination of man and machine. This manufactured breed of "supermen" are said to form massive marching armies that are virtually unstoppable. Whether leveling cities or fighting humans, cyborgs use tremendous strength and intelligence to create maximum destruction.

Super Senses: The mechanical parts of cyborgs greatly enhance their senses, especially sight. Computerized eyes give cyborgs the ability to magnify their vision to see over great distances; in the dark, their infrared vision can target enemies with pinpoint accuracy.

Problem Solvers: Cyborgs usually have computer chips linked to their human brains, giving them the power to make complicated calculations. These techno-creatures can figure the best strategy to dispose of a single enemy or hundreds of foes in a matter of seconds.

March of the Cyborgs[]

Cyborgs like this one from Star Trek travel light years to destroy other worlds.

In most stories, cyborgs are mindless instruments of destruction, created to follow orders as part of a "super army" that will demolish enemies or even wipe out entire planets. With computerized machines tied into their muscles, these living robots have incredible strength that helps them easily overpower several humans at once, and even turn them into cyborgs with new mechanical implants. Cyborgs also come equipped with weapons-from knives and claws to guns-that they can switch out and attach to their arms to suit their fighting needs.

Human Weakness: Though cyborgs employ artificial components, they still rely on the organs from their original human bodies. Cyborgs can be killed if their internal organs are badly damaged.

Inner Conflict: When people are made into cyborgs, they often lose any trace of their original identities. However, the human parts of their brains can resurface, bringing back memories from their earlier lives. This sometimes causes cyborgs to want to become fully human again.

In a Galaxy...[]

Cyborgs often appear in science fiction movies. Their strength and super abilities create character that seem larger than life. Darth Vader, from the Star Wars saga, was turned into an armored cyborg after sustaining near fatal injuries in battle. He became the most feared tyrant in the galaxy. In the end, however, Vader's human side resurfaced when he was confronted by his son, Luke Skywalker.
